YouTube's new Custom Feed feature lets users build a collection of videos from a text description of what they want to watch.

What's new

YouTube has launched the Custom Feed feature. Now users can write what kind of video they want to see, and the platform will create a separate collection for them.

The request can be based on mood, topic, or type of content. For example, you can ask for light videos for the evening or analyses and reviews on a certain topic.

Another change on the Home page

Along with the new feature, YouTube also updated the top bar of the Home page. This is reported by Android Authority.

Such changes show that the platform is increasingly giving users the ability to control what they see themselves, rather than relying only on automatic recommendations.
