You can now publish AI music from ElevenLabs straight to SoundCloud
SoundCloud has added an integration with ElevenLabs, so AI-generated music can be published to the platform directly without extra steps.
What changed
Previously, to upload a track made in ElevenLabs, you had to download it and then upload it to SoundCloud separately. Now that step is not needed: the output can be published directly.
Tracks published from ElevenLabs directly to SoundCloud will be labeled as such, so listeners can see their AI origin.
A perk for artists
SoundCloud Artist Pro subscribers get three months of ElevenMusic Pro for free, so they can try making music with generative AI at no extra cost.
How it differs from the Moises integration
SoundCloud previously partnered with Moises. That integration is deeper: users can pull tracks from SoundCloud into Moises for stem separation and remixing, then republish them to SoundCloud.
The ElevenLabs integration is not as deep and mainly covers direct publishing.
SoundCloud's stance on AI music
According to The Verge, SoundCloud has been more willing to embrace AI-generated music than some other streaming services. Users subject to EU rules are encouraged to label tracks as "AI-generated or manipulated," in line with the EU AI Act. The platform also has rules against impersonation.
