Kiwi: an AI assistant that texts you first

Kiwi is an AI assistant that reminds you about things on its own, such as a delayed flight or a parcel, and handles them once you say yes.

How it works

Most AI assistants wait for you to ask for something. Kiwi does the opposite: it texts you first when something needs doing.

The developer's examples include a free Saturday, where Kiwi asks whether you want to plan something with the kids. If your flight is delayed by an hour, it tells you that you'll land at about 1:20 and offers to book a taxi from arrivals. If a parcel needs a signature tomorrow and you're at the office until 6, Kiwi asks whether to move the delivery to Saturday.

What happens after you say yes

You reply yes and choose an option. Kiwi then checks the apps and websites and books tickets, lunch or a taxi, depending on the situation.

Kiwi tells you something is booked only after the company confirms the booking. This matters when the result affects your plans.

About data safety

According to the author, Kiwi always shows the price before booking, never types your card number, and never shows your passwords to an AI.

The developer also admits the system is not perfect yet: some websites ask you to prove you're human, and Kiwi may not get past that. The author asks users to report where it breaks.

The Kiwi Band

The author says the team is building the Kiwi Band, a wristband with no screen. It buzzes when Kiwi needs your answer, and you can reply with a tap or your voice, so the phone can stay in your pocket. The idea is to help cut down screen time.

The source gives no information about the band's price, release date or availability.
