Gemini Gets Immersive Explorations: Silk Road Trade Routes, Jet Engines and Lightning

The Gemini app now has a library of interactive visual explorations that let you study topics layer by layer, from microscopic systems to deep space.

✨ What It Is

The Gemini app now has a library of "immersive explorations": interactive visual scenes where you study a topic layer by layer, from sweeping planetary scales down to molecules and atoms.

To open the library, go to the Gemini student hub and click "Try immersive explorations."

📌 Topics You Can Explore

Google's examples include tracing trade routes on the Silk Road, looking inside a jet engine, and studying the physics of lightning.

In each scene, tap a label to dig deeper and move from the big picture to finer details.

🔹 What Comes Next

Google says audio narration will soon guide you through each layer. Immersive explorations will also soon be available directly in a chat conversation with Gemini.

🔸 Languages

The feature is available to all users in English, Indonesian, Hindi, Brazilian Portuguese, French, and simplified Chinese.

Users in all other languages, including Ukrainian, currently get an English-only experience. Google says more languages are coming soon, without giving specific dates.
