What this service is

Lviv developer Andrii Rohalia launched Watt, a website with interesting facts. Each fact comes with an explanation, links to sources, and a quiz to check how well you understood it.

According to Rohalia, the idea came to him in a dream. He wanted a place to find surprising but verified facts and immediately test how well they were understood.

How it works

Content is prepared by AI agents: they search for facts, collect confirmations, and write materials. For verification they use official sources, Wikipedia, and other resources. Nothing is published automatically: the developer first reviews the materials and refines them if needed.

Each fact has explanations at three levels: for children, for adults, and for experts. Quizzes are built on them and are meant to make you think, not just recall. Separate agents turn facts into short Reels and Shorts videos.

What you can do on the site

You can choose topics by interest, read or listen to facts, change the explanation level, check sources, and take quizzes. Correct answers earn points shown on a leaderboard. The site works in Ukrainian and English.

Examples include a piece about the properties of spider silk with an illustration, narration, and source links, and a quiz about why Apollo 11 astronauts' footprints may remain on the Moon for a very long time.

Costs and next steps

Rohalia has invested about $1,000 of his own money in the project, not counting his time. The main costs are AI services, including for narration, and server infrastructure. Maintenance currently costs several hundred dollars a month.

The business model is not decided yet. Options include advertising and a model similar to Duolingo, but no final decision has been made. Over the last 30 days the site had more than 250 unique visitors and more than 1,000 visits. For now the developer measures growth by traffic.

The plan is to keep expanding the library of facts, which already exceeds 2,500, and to grow a community that returns to the quizzes. About 5,000 more ideas are waiting in the queue. Rohalia has over 20 years of IT experience and in recent years has focused on AI and agent-based development.
