What it is

Scape is a Mac email client that uses AI to reduce manual work with your inbox. It was built by a team in Stockholm, and its founder Melvin said he used to copy emails into ChatGPT by hand. Scape launched on Product Hunt after an invite-only Preview Release.

The app works with your existing Gmail accounts, so you connect your current mailbox instead of switching to a new one.

What the free version includes

The makers list these features: an email client with keyboard shortcuts and search across all emails in under 100 milliseconds; automatic inbox sorting with custom labels that sync to Gmail; suggested replies in your own tone; local meeting recording without meeting bots, supporting 99 languages; a chat assistant that helps draft emails, find things, and edit files; automatic meeting follow-ups for you to review and send; and multiple email accounts in one inbox.

The developers say no credit card is required and the app can be downloaded for free.

Reminders for unanswered emails

According to the makers, the AI sets reminders on your email drafts, and if no reply arrives, the email comes back to your list at the right time.

Paid version and promo code

For higher usage limits there is Scape Pro. For the Product Hunt community, the makers offer 30 days free with the code PH26.

Data safety

The company says it is compliant with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR requirements. It states that emails are encrypted and user data is not used to train AI models. These are the developers' claims, which we have not independently verified.

How to start

Download the app at scape.app, then connect your Gmail accounts. The developers invite feedback on the Product Hunt page or on their X account.
